The results’ longevity is dependent on two aspects: how long new collagen stays in your skin and the severity of your skin problems. People who need to produce a lot of collagen to address severe skin problems will likely have initial results that last for a few months, while those with mild skin problems may have longer results.
The consistency and durability of collagen produced with this therapy are dependent on several aspects, including your age, your stress, and your skin care.
3How many microneedling sessions are needed for wrinkles?
Fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, and skin laxity are usually visible after three or four weeks after your appointment.
4Can microneedling make wrinkles worse?
Answer: Microneedling Microneedling should not make your lines or wrinkles worse. To get the best results, it takes a sequence of treatments, so I suggest giving it a try. You should not have been in pain for more than five days after receiving medical attention.
5Is microneedling better than Botox?
Both these treatments, as stand-alone therapies, are in their own ways. Botox will produce good visual results on the skin, as the area will appear and feel smoother, but microneedling wins, hands down.
It’s also important to note that Botox will give faster results (within 2 weeks) than microneedling, as a series of 3-6 skin needling sessions, each 4-6 weeks apart, is usually recommended for optimal results. Following a thorough consultation, your doctor should be able to recommend the right treatment(s) for you based on your desired outcomes.
Should I have microneedling before Botox? Or Botox before microneedling? Or does it not matter?
i.e. If you choose to go down the treatment combination route. Botox and microneedling – I recommend that my patients wait two weeks between appointments. There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, Botox must be administered to healthy, intact skin, and microneedling creates numerous microscopic channels, so it would not be possible to perform both treatments in the same session.
6Does microneedling make you age faster?

10Who should not microneedle?
Microneedling can cause bleeding, so it may not be appropriate for people with clotting or bleeding disorders or those who take medicine to thin their blood. If you have skin conditions such as eczema or diabetes, or if you have a weakened immune system, you may want to avoid microneedling.
Ask your health-care practitioner how the microneedling unit is cleaned between patients. According to the device instructions, microneedling units that have reusable parts should be cleaned and disinfected.
Ask your health care provider if a new needle cartridge is used for each patient and for each treatment session with the same patient. Re-using cartridges can cause or spread infection.
Ask your health care specialist how to protect your skin after the procedure, as your skin is more sensitive to the sun and to skin care products such as sunscreen, makeup, and moisturizers, especially those that contain retinol, glycolic acid, menthol, capsaicin, or alcohol.
11Does microneedling tighten skin?
Microneedling is generally safe and effective treatment that can improve the skin’s appearance. It can reduce wrinkles, minimize scarring, and tighten or rejuvenate loose or aged skin.
12Does your face peel after microneedling?
Skin cell turnover may be reduced in the treatment area, leading to peeling and flaking of the skin. Avoid picking and scratching at your skin. To combat dry skin, try a gentle moisturizer.
Microneedling’s positive results will be apparent within two to four weeks. In the meantime, you can use cosmetics to reduce the appearance of skin redness and peeling.
Microneedling’s findings are expected to last up to six months. You can repeat the procedure as often as every four to five months.
To get the best results, you may need three to six treatments. When treating scar tissue, six to eight sessions may be required.

13Why does my face look more wrinkled after microneedling?
Fortunately, this isn’t an effect of these drugs. The majority of what you might think of wrinkles is actually skin tightening after your skin treatment.
